SJC Welcomes New Director to Support Growth and Client Delivery

SJC, Chartered Accountants is delighted to announce the appointment of Katee Hughes as Director, further strengthening the firm’s leadership team and technical expertise.

Katee brings over a decade of experience in accountancy, having started her career in 2012 at Atkinson Accounts and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with UHY. Katee honed her expertise at Grant Thornton in senior positions before broadening her experience at NWF Group plc in 2024. Her specialisms include technical accounting, financial reporting under FRS 102 and FRS 105, charities, academies, and S479a audit exemption accounts.

At Grant Thornton, she played a key role in UK Accounting Services, where she was promoted and served as a technical lead, driving quality improvements and spearheading collaboration across regional teams. In her most recent role as Group Finance Lead at NWF Group plc, Katee delivered successful year-end consolidation reporting and expanded her cross-sector experience.

At SJC, Katee will work alongside partners Nick and Richard to help grow the practice and enhance client service through a hands-on, proactive approach. Her focus will be on reducing the accountancy burden for business owners and adding real value through tailored advice and expertise.
